Dear Partner:
This is a defining moment for racial equity in America.
Across the country, hard-won progress is being challenged, public investment is shrinking, and the communities most harmed by inequity are being asked to carry a heavier burden with even less resources. As a result, this is not the time to retreat. It is our time to organize, invest, and build. This is why I invite you to sponsor Equiticity’s Annual Event + Community Mobility Rituals (CMRs), “The State of Equity: Justice in Motion”, taking place in Chicago on October 2-3, 2027.
Equiticity is a racial equity movement, operationalizing racial equity through research, advocacy, programs, and Community Mobility Rituals to improve the lives of Black, Brown, and Indigenous people. We are building the power, creating partnerships, and implementing the infrastructure needed to create more just, equitable, and liveable communities for racially marginalized people in Chicago and beyond.
Our Annual Event is more than a convening. It is a declaration to ourselves and to each other that equity will be defended, resourced, and operationalized. Over two days, we will bring together leaders, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, philanthropists, and community members for a powerful gathering rooted in racial equity, community power, and movement building. Last year’s annual event was designed to energize the movement and accelerate Equiticity’s work in the face of urgent challenges. This year, the urgency is even greater.
Your sponsorship is not simply support for an event. It is an investment in the movement infrastructure that makes this work possible: leadership, communications, community organizing, and flexible capacity for rapid responses in a difficult political and funding environment. It is also an investment in results and impact. Equiticity engages 2,500+ residents annually through Community Mobility Rituals, has served 73 youth through BikeForce, and has provided more than $250,000 in transportation stipends to 250 residents through our Mobility Opportunities Fund. Additionally, we are advancing The Go Hub in two Chicago neighborhoods and leading advocacy and research efforts at the local and national levels.
Just as important, your partnership sends a powerful message: now is not the time to step back from racial equity, mobility justice, and environmental justice. Now is the time to invest in the movement to transform our communities, cities, and society.
I trust you will join us as a sponsor of Equiticity’s Annual Event + CMRs. Primary and special sponsorship opportunities range from $1,500 to $30,000. Your support will fuel the transformative work our communities require at this defining moment. To discuss sponsorship opportunities, customized support, equity gift donations, co-marketing partnerships, or multi-year commitments, please contact me directly at 773-916-6264 or Oboi@equiticity.org.
Join us. Invest in this moment. Help us build the equitable future our communities deserve.
In solidarity,
